Blender MCP (Blender Lab)
Blender's own MCP server: Claude works through Blender's Python API and docs
Runs as a server Claude Code connects to. It needs its own configuration, and some servers need an API key.
Install just this one
Add to Claude
First install the Blender Lab MCP add-on in Blender 5.1 or newer (blender.org/lab/mcp-server). Then add it in the Claude tab that opens. Use it on a machine without sensitive files: it runs the code Claude writes.
Run in your terminal — needs Node
npx archtmpl@latest --mcp blender-lab-mcpFirst time? The whole install, step by step
- Open Claude Code — the terminal version or the desktop app, either one.
- In a terminal, paste the line above and press Enter. In the app, paste it into the chat and ask Claude to run it.
- Restart Claude Code. That's the whole install.
